BREAKING: Melting down over new book, Trump personally attacks author Haberman, blathering that the scathing exposé is “mostly made up con job"!
Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan’s in-the-room tell-all book about the second Trump administration is flying off the shelves, and its subject isn’t quite over the moon about it.
In a long, unhinged Truth Social rant, a clearly spiraling Donald J. Trump lashed out at the NYT reporters’ triumph, personally attacking (the female) half of the dynamic duo as “Magot” who “continues to spew out garbage.”
The book, he went on, is just another “Margot” [sic. Get your derogatory sobriquets straight, dude] “Con Job,” “mostly made up, Fake News, largely fiction.”
He then went on a greatest-hits tour of grievances at a reporter he has for years given extraordinary access to:
“She was wrong about me on the Elections … She was wrong about me on the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, and she was wrong about me on just about everything else.”
He then felt the need to remind us all (again!) that he “WON THE ELECTION, BIG,” bringing up the swing states and the popular vote (which was actually close), etc.
He also claimed “they don’t have the audio tapes that they imply they have.” He better hope so, because it seems so far they presented pretty strong receipts with their blockbuster reporting.
At this point, Haberman and Swan should just send him a thank-you card for the free publicity, not that they need any more press.
Like many politicians and journalists previously, Haberman should consider the attack a point of pride. She and Swan have hit his sciatic nerve, and we are here for it.
We only hope their revelations will lead lawmakers toward future investigations and prosecutions of all the unethical and criminal acts committed during the second Trump administration.
