Trump is picking ANOTHER tariff fight with Europe

BREAKING: Trump is picking ANOTHER tariff fight with Europe — and American consumers will be stuck with the tab.

The Supreme Court ruling that severely limited Donald Trump’s ability to unilaterally impose tariffs on America’s trading partners doesn’t appear to have stopped the rapidly sundowning president from issuing threats to use power that he has been told definitively that he doesn’t have.

Trump woke up Friday and threatened to ignite a catastrophic trade war with the entire European continent — and it's American families who will foot the bill.

In a Truth Social rant, Trump declared that any European country that imposes a Digital Services Tax on American tech companies "will immediately be met with a 100% TARIFF on any and all Goods sent to the United States of America." He added that this threat would "SUPERSEDE Trade Deals" — whether "implemented, signed, or not."

There he goes again. Trump is threatening to UNILATERALLY blow-up existing trade agreements — deals that took years to negotiate — with a single all-caps social media post.

But here's the part Trump desperately doesn't want you to understand: tariffs are NOT paid by foreign countries. They're paid by YOU. Economists have confirmed it over and over — Americans have already shouldered roughly 90% of the cost of Trump's existing tariffs.

Every European car, every bottle of wine, every appliance, every medication, every piece of machinery hit with a 100% tariff would cost American consumers DOUBLE.

A 100% tariff doesn't punish Europe. It punishes the American family trying to buy a car or fill a prescription.

And this comes at the worst possible time. Families are already drowning. Gas spiked to $6 a gallon thanks to Trump's Iran war. Grocery prices are soaring. Inflation is outpacing wages — a fact Trump's own economic adviser pick couldn't even admit in a Senate hearing this week.

Now Trump wants to slap another massive hidden tax on imported goods — all to protect the same Big Tech billionaires who've been bending the knee at Mar-a-Lago.

This is the same man already alienating America's closest allies. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz told his own children NOT to study or work in Trump's America. Approval of U.S. leadership has cratered across NATO.

And now Trump's answer to a policy dispute is to threaten the entire continent — and stick American consumers with the bill.

Tariffs are a tax on YOU. Please like and share this post if you understand that!
